Limerick Museum
Limerick City Housed in a purpose built building beside King John's Castle, on King's Island, the museum has excellent and comprehensive displays, which illustrate the long and varied history of Limerick. The most noteworthy items in the collection are the civic antiquities e.g. the Civic Sword, the City Maces, the Nail from the Exchange, and the city charters of Charles I. Award-winning examples of exquisite Limerick lace, a trades history display, and a currencey display feature in this spectacular museum. Open daily, except Sundays, year round.
